Who is behind this site
The site belongs to Patrick Kühne, a self-employed travel publisher in Markkleeberg near Leipzig, Germany, who also runs other guides to day trips in Lapland. He reads the listings, writes the pages and answers the mail himself; there is no agency behind it.
What this site does
Almost every Riisitunturi listing promises snow monsters, a fell walk and a campfire. The differences hide in the details: a guide on the trail or only a driver-host on a coach, eight people or a full bus, overalls and boots or none, edited photos or none, and very different age limits. We set those details side by side, add what Metsähallitus publishes about the park, and link to the booking page. We do not sell tickets ourselves.
How the site is paid for
If you book a tour through a link here, the booking platform pays us a commission out of its own margin. Your price is the same. Operators cannot pay for a place in the tables, which are sorted by number of reviews.
